This redesigned 5-suite Country Inn in Niagara on the Lake is situated in the heart of Old Town. It was originally built in 1859 as Niagara Public School the first local public school to be built after the War of 1812. Local Historian, Author, and co-founder of The Niagara Historical Society Janet Carnochan was one of the school's first Principals. This Ontario Heritage Assoc. designated building situated in the National Historic District of Old Town Niagara on the Lake is now School House Country Inn c1859. Each of the Four Corner Suites on the second floor has their own sitting room with 17-foot ceilings, a fireplace, a fridge stocked with complimentary juice and water, large ensuite bathroom with complimentary toiletries, bathrobes, hairdryer, ironing board, iron, Stairs lead up to a separate loft bedroom that looks down onto the sitting area. There is also a one-level Queen bed/sitting room on this floor that boasts many of the above amenities. Our spacious main floor room features a sitting area with a fireplace, a fridge with complimentary juice and water, an ironing board/iron, a large ensuite bathroom with complimentary toiletries, bathrobes, hairdryer, this suite is perfect for those not wishing to climb stairs. All suites have recently been upgraded with flat-screen TVs, DVD players, Keurig coffee makers, I Pod docks, high thread count bedding, and Down Duvets. Free WiFi and Parking.
